Purpose and Objectives:

  • Strategic Marketing Leadership: Assume ultimate responsibility for ensuring that Terumo Aortic has an innovative marketing strategy that effectively drives the adoption of our products in target markets worldwide.

  • Comprehensive Marketing Oversight: Oversee downstream marketing, marketing communications, branding, event and conference planning, and sales training & education.

  • Leadership and Budget Management: Manage departmental budget and provide leadership to teams to ensure consistent behaviors and fulfillment of the company’s strategic goals.

  • Product Lifecycle Management: Develop, implement, and monitor marketing and selling strategies for all products, including product lifecycle management and the development and implementation of digital clinical and marketing platforms through both direct and indirect channels.

  • Market Analysis and Value Proposition: Track and analyze changes across the market landscape, customer needs, competitors, product trends, and pricing/reimbursement practices to create a product value proposition that addresses customer needs and adapts to changing market trends.

  • Team Development: Coach, mentor, and develop departmental associates globally, conducting performance management to build high-performing teams.

  • Financial and Quality Management: Manage and control expenditure with Marketing P&L responsibility, ensuring the operation of the quality system within the company.

    Key Duties:

  • Global Marketing Leadership: Direct and control global marketing functions to achieve organizational goals.

  • Strategic Direction: Provide strategic direction and motivation to achieve targeted results.

  • Product Promotion & Marketing: Ensure products are promoted and marketed correctly, supporting the implementation of new products provided to the distributor network and direct sales and marketing forces.

  • Revenue and Profit Maximization: Evaluate distribution and product development opportunities to maximize revenue and profitability.

  • Expenditure Control: Manage and control departmental expenditure efficiently.

  • High-Level Relationship Management: Develop and maintain high-level relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs).

  • Industry Knowledge: Stay updated with current practices in vascular, endovascular, and cardiac surgery.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership to teams to ensure consistent behaviors and progress towards business strategic goals.

  • Team Development: Develop and deliver high-performing teams through clear objective setting for both teams and individuals.

  • Quality System Operation: Ensure the operation of the quality system within the company.

  • Position in Organization:

  • Reports To: Chief Commercial Officer (CCO)

  • Direct Reports Include: Director of Marketing, Global Branding, Marketing Comms & Events Manager, US Training Manager, OUS Training Manager

  • Deputised by: Chief Commercial Officer

  • Direct Responsibility: Global Marketing

  • International subsidiaries and sister companies

    Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential: Undergraduate Degree in Marketing from an internationally recognized institution

  • Desirable: Postgraduate education from an internationally recognized institution

  • Essential: 5+ years of global marketing management experience, leading teams

  • Desirable: Experience in the endovascular and cardiac field

  • Extensive 1st, 2nd, and 3rd line management experience

  • Proven track record of implementing marketing campaigns and initiatives that resulted in increased sales, profitability, and developing high-performance teams

  • Solid experience in launching products regionally and/or globally

  • Extensive experience in global branding implementation and events planning and execution

  • Global P&L management experience

  • Demonstrated drive, leadership, and communication skills

  • Computer literate

  • Effective communication with a customer-centric approach

  • Multilingual proficiency
